Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of this website and any course you purchase from Barato Escuela de Tráfico. By creating an account, enrolling, or using the site, you agree to them. Please read them carefully, especially the sections on deadlines, eligibility, and limitation of liability.
Last updated: October 2, 2026
1. Who we are and what we provide
Barato Escuela de Tráfico provides online traffic school, driver improvement, and related courses. Course availability, content, length, and requirements vary by state and program. We provide the course; we are not a court, DMV, or government agency, and we do not decide your case, your eligibility, or how your record is handled.
2. Your eligibility is your responsibility
Before you enroll, you are responsible for confirming with your court, DMV, state agency, insurer, employer, or other organization that:
- you are eligible to take a course for your citation or situation;
- the specific course you select is the one they require and will accept; and
- you understand any fees, steps, or filings they require separately from our course.
Information on this website is general and is not legal advice. Rules change and differ between jurisdictions. If we list a course for your state, that does not guarantee you are eligible for it or that a particular court will accept it.
3. Deadlines
You are solely responsible for meeting every deadline that applies to you, including court, DMV, agency, insurer, and employer deadlines. Barato Escuela de Tráfico is not responsible for missed deadlines or their consequences, including late fees, additional fines, license suspension, points on your record, loss of eligibility, or denied extensions.
To protect yourself:
- Enroll and finish the course well before your due date. Allow time for identity verification, the final exam (including any retake), and certificate processing and delivery.
- Certificate processing, electronic reporting, and mail delivery times are estimates, not guarantees. Courts and agencies also take time to receive and post completions, and those delays are outside our control.
- Know whether you must deliver the certificate yourself or whether it is reported for you, and follow up with the court or agency to confirm your completion was received.
- If your deadline is close, contact your court or agency directly about an extension. We cannot grant or guarantee one.
We are not liable for delays caused by you, by courts, agencies, mail carriers, or other third parties, or by events beyond our reasonable control, including internet, power, or service outages.
4. Accurate information
You must provide complete, accurate information, including your legal name, date of birth, driver license number, and citation, case, or court details exactly as they appear on your documents. We are not responsible for rejected, delayed, or misreported completions caused by incorrect or incomplete information you provide. Fees may apply to correct or reissue certificates because of errors in your information.
5. Completing the course
To receive credit you must complete the course yourself and meet all program requirements, which may include minimum time requirements, identity verification questions, and passing a final exam. Allowing another person to take the course for you, sharing answers, or bypassing course controls is prohibited and may be reported. We may suspend your account, withhold or void certificates, and keep fees paid if we reasonably believe these rules were broken.
6. No guaranteed outcome
We do not guarantee any particular result, including dismissal of a ticket, masking or removal of points, an insurance discount, or acceptance of your completion by any court, agency, or organization. Those decisions are made by third parties.
7. Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity on your account. Courses are for one student only and may not be shared or transferred. Tell us promptly if you think your account was used without permission.
8. Fees, payments, and refunds
Course prices are shown before you pay. Some courts, states, or agencies charge their own fees, which are separate from ours and paid directly to them. Optional services, such as expedited processing or additional certificate copies, may cost extra.
Refunds are handled according to the refund terms shown at enrollment. Unless those terms or the law require otherwise, refunds are not available after you begin the course or after a certificate has been issued or reported, and we do not issue refunds because you were not eligible, chose the wrong course, or missed a deadline.
Filing a chargeback for a course you received may result in suspension of your account and of any pending certificate.
9. Website and service availability
We work to keep the site and course available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may perform maintenance, update course content, or change features at any time. It is your responsibility to use a compatible device, browser, and reliable internet connection and to leave enough time before your deadline to handle any technical problems.
10. Intellectual property
The website, course content, text, graphics, videos, and exams belong to Barato Escuela de Tráfico or its licensors. You may use them only to take your course for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, record, distribute, or resell any part of them.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
THE WEBSITE AND COURSES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BARATO ESCUELA DE TRÁFICO DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BARATO ESCUELA DE TRÁFICO AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND PARTNERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY FINES, PENALTIES, COURT COSTS, INSURANCE INCREASES, LICENSE ACTIONS, OR LOST WAGES, INCLUDING THOSE ARISING FROM A MISSED DEADLINE, A REJECTED COMPLETION, OR SERVICE INTERRUPTIONS. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE WEBSITE OR A COURSE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THAT COURSE.
Some states do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
13. Indemnification
You agree to defend and hold harmless Barato Escuela de Tráfico from claims, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your misuse of the site or course, your violation of these terms, or inaccurate information you provide.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us first at support@baratoescueladetrafico.com so we can try to resolve the issue informally.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date shows the latest version. The version in effect when you enrolled applies to that enrollment; continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised terms.
